Details
Steps to reproduce:
- Have a window of firefox with the bookmark toolbar
- Full screen the window on linux using the window manager's default keybind (gnome allows to set keybind for full screening windows in settings)
Actual results:
The window full screens but the bookmark toolbar is hidden even if always show is on and selected
Expected results:
The bookmark toolbar should be present regardless if the window is an individual window or fullscreened if the option for that is available

Hi leptonaray,
Thanks for filing.
Is this a new regression, or is it a behaviour you just stumbled on that might have existed for a while?

I'm facing this issue on MacOS as well.
It happens after the upgrade to 112.0.1
I downgraded to 111.0.1, and the issue doesn't happen anymore.

I noticed it just now but it seems like the issue is there for a long time
The oldest I tried was firefox 90 and the issue is still there

Hey felipe / leptonaray,
If you right-click on the bookmarks toolbar, and then choose the "Bookmarks Toolbar" context menu item, what is the selection in the popup? It should be one of three:
- Always Show
- Only Show on New Tab
- Never Show
Which one is it for each of you?

I always keep it at "Always show"
Also I set browser.fullscreen.autohide to false in about:config so that the tabs are not hidden when in full screen if it helps
Hey Mike,
I also keep the "Bookmarks Toolbar" as "Always Show". And the issue happens when in FullScreen mode on MacOS.
This isn't new: Bug 594681.

I've investigated this issue on Windows 10, in order to find a regression range, and it seems that the bug reproduces all the way back to Firefox 77.0a1, tried Fx 111.0.1 and Fx 112.0.2 versions the issue is the same, it looks like the functionality has always been the same "Bookmarks Toolbar" doesn't shows in full screen window.
This issue its not a regression, the work for this its being tracked in bug 594681.
