Steps to reproduce:
- Add Firefox to the dock (Keep in Dock)
- Remove all icons from the dock in the area that shows recent applications not kept in the dock
- Open Firefox
- Close Firefox
This is happening since the upgrade to 112
Machine Apple MacBook Pro 14" 2021, macOS 13.3.1, Firefox 112.0 (64-bit)
Actual results:
- A Firefox item is added to the area that shows recent applications not kept in the dock
Expected results:
- No additional icon is added to the dock

Reinstalling Firefox with a fresh download does not resolve the issue
Removing all data does not resolve the issue (CleanMyMacX application reset)

Thanks for the report. This looks like a duplicate of bug 1827486 which happens when the Delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed setting is enabled. A fix should be available via update soon. See bug 1827486 for details.
