Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.1) Gecko/20020826 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.1) Gecko/20020826 When text in a text box is selected it get's dragged by the mouse pointer isntead of having the text selection change. As a result, when one focuses on an edit ox (like the URl bar) the entire text gets automatically selected (which is fine), but then, if the use wants to select only a section of the text (e.g. replace the end part) he has to click the text one additional time in order to make the selection disappear entirely and only then select the text with the mouse. This is inconsistent with Windows and all together annoying. It enables the user to drag the text instead of edit it when clearly the ladder is the more frequent activity. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Focus on any edit box that has text in it (like URL bar). 2. Attempt to select, using the mouse, part of the text. 3. Actual Results: The mouse pointer turns to "drag text" mode and the text is dragged. Expected Results: The selection should change accoring to the position of the mouse-button-down event location. That's the way it's done in Windows.
