User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.3a) Gecko/20021201
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.3a) Gecko/20021201

When I go to sites with ads from www.webads.nl my browser crashes on exit, every
time. When I block the server "adserver.webads.nl" it does not crash on exit (so
I guess the bug-trigger code is in that part).

Some sites with these ads:
www.tweakers.net
www.trafficnet.nl
www.gamers.nl

Mozilla quicklaunch remains functional (or automatically restarts quickly), it's
actually just the WinXP message: we encountered a problem...

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.go to www.tweakers.net
2.close browser windows during load or just after load

Actual Results:
Windows message that there was a problem.

Expected Results:
Just close.

WinXP crash info, short:
AppName: mozilla.exe AppVer: 1.3.0.0 ModName: mozilla.exe
ModVer: 1.3.0.0 Offset: 0006ac80

(offset is not always the same)
Reporter:
Do you use flash5 or flash6 (see help/about:plugins)

if you don't use flash5 : Can you please add a talkback ID from that crash ?
if you use Flash 5, upgrade to Flash 6, this must be bug 179822.
Severity: normal → critical

Neither.

I actually use Phoenix and installed Mozilla 1.3a to check if it was a Phoenix
or a Mozilla bug. Talkback didn't go off though (so maybe I'm doing something
wrong, I'm used to Px). On Px I have Flash6.
Those sites do not crash 1.2 for me. Windows 2000 Pro SP3
Using nightlies 20021129, 20021130, and 200211201 on Windows XP, I receive a
windows error message and a Talkback request every time I exit Mozilla, whether
I have or Haven't accessed any web pages. This does not happen with 20021123.

In addition, if I have Quick Laundh enabled in any of those three nightlies,
when I start XP some of my six startup programs do not show in the system tray;
this occurs in unpredictable ways, Mozilla and Zone Alarm Pro always show, but
any or all of the others may not start. This has never happened with 20021123
Make that third nightly 20021201.
At present the sites do NOT crash anymore...

So I guess something changed in the "adserver.webads.nl" part, since I didn't
change anything...

Or the "adserver.webads.nl" is down (since no ads appear with ctrl-f5)
