To see this, Select Auto Detect from View menu. ==> Submenu doesn't show up. It usually shows up after user moves cursor to other menu items such as Character Set to display its submenu. Observed in Win 11-08-09-M11 and Linux 11-08-08-M11 blds. Fine in Mac bld (11-08-08-M11).

It still does when the menu is used for the first time.
