To see this,
Select Auto Detect from View menu.
==> Submenu doesn't show up.
It usually shows up after user moves cursor to other menu items such as
Character Set to display its submenu.
Observed in Win 11-08-09-M11 and Linux 11-08-08-M11 blds.
Fine in Mac bld (11-08-08-M11).

not food for dogs, will become obsolete when new stuff get landed
The real implementation needs to work by Beta1, otherwise this is a big
usability problem.
