Found in

  • 114.0a1 (2023-04-27)

Affected versions

  • 114.0a1 (2023-04-27)
  • 113.0b8
  • 112.0.2
  • 102.10.0esr

Tested platforms

  • Affected platforms: macOS 12, Windows 10x64
  • Unaffected platforms: Ubuntu 20.04 (option not supported)

Steps to reproduce

  1. Set disableprofileimport policy to true.
  2. Open about:logins and click on Open menu (three dots) on the right top side.

Expected result

  • Import Data from Another Browser is greyed out.

Actual result

  • Import Data from Another Browser is accessible.

Regression range

  • Will search for one ASAP if there is one.

Additional notes

  • This option only opened about:preferences page on the latest nightly or while browser.migrate.content-modal.enabled:true but still works on the latest Beta, RC and ESR where browser.migrate.content-modal.enabled is false by default.

:atrif, if you think that's a regression, could you try to find a regression range using for example mozregression?

Is this something we should consider for backport (ESR140 in particular) or is riding the trains sufficient?

Trains is sufficient. Test found this.
