Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install Mozilla 1.2x 2. 3. Actual Results: the Palm Desktop doesn't start again, cause it does not find the user data. Expected Results: Leave the registry as is.
This looks like a Mozilla issue, not a Calendar issue based on the description and steps to reproduce.
Component: Calendar General → Installer
Product: Calendar → Browser
Version: unspecified → Trunk
this does not happen here- installed Palm and did multiple installations of Mozilla (1.2, 1.2.1 and 1.3a) none of which write anything to the registry key noted above I think if user chose a specific path for Palm install D:\temp\ns_temp- it would be possible for Palm files to be overwritten with the xpi files that Mozilla downloads, installs and removes. not sure this is mozilla bug though marking worksforme please reopen if I have misstated facts

Just to clear this issue up in case someone else comes across this bug: I ran into this myself and it turns out to be a variant of bug 182423. It was an uninstallation issue, not an installation issue. My guess is the reporter uninstalled 1.2 or 1.2.1 before noticing the error. It was fixed Jan 9 2003, so 1.3 and above should not show this.
