Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:109.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/114.0
Steps to reproduce:
Updated from Firefox developer edition 112 (can't remember the exact sub-release) to 113 (again, can't remember the exact sub-release). I have just updated to Developer edition v114.0b3 and the issue is not yet resolved. Note: I have a reasonably high number of tabs open (300 tabs at the moment)
OS: Windows 10
Actual results:
Close button missing on all tabs.
Expected results:
Close button should appear on a tab when mouseovering the tab, or when tab is selected.

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Firefox::Tabbed Browser' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please correct in case you think the bot is wrong.

Are you using a non-default theme? Are you using userChrome.css
?
A screenshot of the UI would help.

Thank you for reporting this!
Close button not visible while hovering over tab
- issue reproduced on MacOS13, Win 10 and Ubuntu 22.04 with Fx versions 102.11.0esr , 113.0.1, 114.0b7, 115.0a1 (2023-05-22) with the following steps:
- Launch Firefox
- Ctrl/Cmd +T multiple times (the number of times depended on the Browser Window size).
Not a regression - this issue can be reproduced in Firefox version 81.0a1 (2020-07-27).
Note - the X (close button appears if you click on the tab).
Close button not visible after clicking on a tab
- could not reproduce the issue in Developer or regular edition - opened over 300 tabs.
Need more info
@Aeed cold you please bring some further clarifications:
- Is the close button present after clicking on a tab?
- If not, do you experience this issue with a new profile (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-remove-switch-firefox-profiles)?
- Please see Comment 2 also.
Marking this as RESOLVED INCOMPLETE due to the lack of answers from the reporter. Please re-open this if it's still reproducible on your end, thank you.
