pierre@pierre:~$ mozilla
pierre@pierre:~$
Immediatly it put me back on the shell.
But if I am root it works.
I have check the permissions and it's ok.
I have never seen this, Mozilla 1.2 worked perfect.
I just installed 1.2.1 and I got this error.
So I tried the latest build, but the same.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Log on user
2.Launch Mozilla
3.See:)
Actual Results:
Nothing, but no error also!
Expected Results:
Mozilla should have been launched.
I attach you the output of "strace mozilla"
Summary: Mozilla doesn't launch on user account → Mozilla 1.3a doesn't launch on user account

the strace is of the mozilla startup script. you need "strace -f" to follow
forks...
it sounds like you're seeing bug 163524. Could you check the "components"
directory of mozilla and see if it has execute permission?

Ok sorry I was a bit tired :)
I attach the new output.

Yes it's probably bug 163524, and related to the fact that I recently set the
MOZILLA_FIVE_HOME variable.

So the solution (waiting for a better one) is
chmod 755 /usr/local/mozilla/components ?

yes, that would fix your current installation. the real fix is to not set
MOZILLA_FIVE_HOME
