User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:109.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/113.0

Steps to reproduce:

This occurs in Linux, with a window manager that decorates all windows and puts a distinctive title-bar on top of windows, like Xfwm4 or Fvwm. Not sure what happens in Wayland, but I'm using X11.

  • If the window manager need to be set up to show title-bars and borders, do it. In a clean Xfce4 session I didn't need to do anything.
  • Create a new Firefox profile
  • Enable "Open previous windows and tabs" in settings->general->startup
  • Move a window so it is positioned somewhere in the middle of the screen, thus not touching the top or left of the screen
  • Put a marker where the Firefox window is (perhaps another application's window)
  • Quit Firefox and start it again

Actual results:

The Firefox window (or windows if more than one was left open), opens and then is moved to the position it was when it closed, but shifted upward on the screen the same number of pixels that the size of the window manager's title bar is, and shifted left the size of the window manager's border. (See image if this is unclear.)

Before v 112 (I think), the windows only travels left, but in 112 and later, the windows also started to travel upwards. Using 113 at the moment.

Expected results:

The window(s) should open at exactly the same place they were when closed, and not shifted. Like they do when not using the window manager's title-bar and borders.

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Core::Widget: Gtk' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please correct in case you think the bot is wrong.
