Details
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.2.1) Gecko/20021130 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.2.1) Gecko/20021130 When replying to a message in plaintext format, the quoted text is always blue; there is no way to change the color/formatting. It seems like the most sensible option is to use the options from "Mail & Newsgroups::Message Display::Plain Text Messages::Use the following settings when displaying quoted plain text messages." This problem is significant if the default colors are set to a light-on-dark scheme, because the blue text is very difficult to read on a dark background. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Edit->Mail & Newsgroup Account Settings->Accout settings: uncheck "compose messages in HTML format" 2.: Edit->Preferences: Change "Mail & Newsgroups::Message Display::Plain Text Messages::Use the following settings when displaying quoted plain text messages" to green. 3. Reply to a message Actual Results: Quoted text is blue Expected Results: Quoted text is green
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.3b) Gecko/20030210 still has this bug It would be preferable for there to be a setting (and default) of not treating quoted text in any special way at all, besides the addition of > at the beginning of lines. As it stands, if you edit some quoted text to realign it in some way, removing the > marks and then put the > marks back in, the strange blue formatting doesn't return. Therefore, you see some quoted lines in blue and some not. This is just confusing and misleading.
