* TITLE/SUMMARY
[PP] Win32 - Vertical blue line appears when selecting blank lines w/<BR>s

* STEPS TO REPRODUCE
0) Launch Apprunner
1) View http://slip/projects/marvin/selection/drag-select-text/drag-select-
text.html (attached)
2) Select from one line of text to another line of text.

* RESULT
 - What happened

On Win32 only, selecting the <BR>s in between lines of text yields a vertical
blue line to the left of the selection. Also occurs within Composer, as well.

 - What was expected

Consistent behavior across platforms.

 - Occurs On
        Win32 Apprunner (1999110809)

 - Doesn't Occur On
        Mac OS Apprunner (1999110808)
        Linux Apprunner (1999110808)
        Mac OS Communicator 4.7 (RTM)

* CONFIGURATIONS TESTED

- [Mac] Beige Power Mac G3 (266 MHz PowerPC 750), 96 MB RAM (VM on; 1 MB of VM

Severity: minor → normal
Hmm...when selecting within a table (within the Netscape firewall, see http://
slip/projects/marvin/selection/drag-scroll-text/drag-scroll-text.html), the blue
lines are actually left drawn, even after the selection is undone.

Thus, setting priority to 'normal', rather than the original 'minor'.
Status: NEW → ASSIGNED
fixed in my tree waiting to check in. well let me rephrase that. I have changed
some things that MAY have fixed this. since i cannot reproduce it on my tree i
will assume that and mark it resolved when i check in so elig can reverify.
Whiteboard: [fix in hand]
Target Milestone: M12
setting this to m12
mjudge: I'm still seeing this using the optimized 1999111108 build.

fixed! tadaa
Status: RESOLVED → VERIFIED
Verified fixed using 1999112908 builds on Win NT 4.0 SP5/Mac OS 8.6/RH 6.0.

(Yeah, the bug was Win32-only, but wanted to confirm that no obvious regressions
occurred elsewhere.)
