User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:109.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/113.0

Steps to reproduce:

TB 102.11.0 64-Bit Windows 11 Pro

  1. Click the "Write" button on the Toolbar
  2. Click on the "From" input field

Actual results:

Identities are listed by date in the order in which they were created, making it extremely difficult to find the identity I'm looking for.

When I hit a key, the only thing that happens is that the FIRST entry that merely contains the FIRST key I typed gets selected. If I keep typing, nothing else happens.

Expected results:

Identities should be listed alphabetically by Email Address

When I start typing, it should narrow down the list to include ONLY those that match the entire string I have typed

Why do I care about this so much?

I own my own domain. I have MANY email addresses for that domain. Thus, I need many "Identities". Each time I have any contact with any business or organization, I create new email address to be used ONLY with them. This way, I can determine if they have given away my email address or if they have had a data breach. Makes it very easy to cut them off. Just DELETE that Email Address.

But the way that TB manages Identities makes all this more difficult than it needs to be.
