when i go into preferences and enable "debug xul boxes" in the debug section the
appearance of the browser totally changes, it becomes unusable. its difficult to
describe, heres a link to a screenshot i took of the browser when i enable
"debug xul boxes"  - http://www28.brinkster.com/tvashtar/mozilla.png

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.go edit-> preferences, click the debug pane and enable "debug xul boxes"
2.restart the browser and the bug should appear.
3.to change it back edit your prefs.js file 
(change user_pref("xul.debug.box", false); to true)
Actual Results:  
the browsers appearance totally changes, it becomes blue and red, and totally

this bug occurs in both default and modern themes.

That's exactly what it's supposed to do.

Solution: don't enable it.

Don't even think about turning this on unless you know what you're doing.

It's no bug. It works as expected. Don't touch the debug settings if you don't
know what they mean and also don't report bugs about that.

I've seen this complaint before, and the problem with this is that it's
practically impossible to turn off using the UI once it's on.

Perhaps we need to disable the effects of this pref for chrome in non-debug
builds.  Reopening.

This bug is pretty much invalid now that bryner killed XUL debug boxes in bug
103844  :(

Code no longer in release builds (see comment 9), and the UI doesn't exist in Seamonkey / Firefox either.
