So... yes, it can be related I suspect. I'm a bit confused, it seems to be failing with SIGABRT, which is just aborting the process, and the stacks look normal.

So my understanding is that the test times out and the process gets killed. Serban, is this better after bug 1851486? I think that fixed a tabswitcher bug that could cause this.

In bug 1848357 I simplified the setup of the MozLayerTreeReady events in
a way such that if we already have layers we don't get such event
repeatedly every time.

This test was listening for that event, and thus timing out causing
various crashes. This adapts the test in a similar way to how the
tab switcher got adapted in bug 1851486.

I couldn't repro the timeout locally but the start of these timeouts
matches the landing of bug 1848357, so I'm fairly certain this should
help.

I don't know how the classification stuff works. I think the problem is that we always want to have crashes as a possible reason for the failures, so it is kind of up to the person doing the starring to decide what to look at. Maybe jmaher has some thoughts.

I see bug 1856401 filed as a single tracking bug, that is probably the best bet going forward. I see in this other bug that tabswitch is still the root cause, so possibly that would be a way to reproduce this.

This was filed for tabswitch and probably was the majority of the failures seen. Sheriffs use their judgement on what the bug summary should be or if we should reuse an existing bug vs filing a new bug.

As it stands for a crash, we try to use the reason text from the crashdump tool. And we always print the crash early in the failure line with the test or directory at the end of the line.
