Steps to reproduce:

On latest Firefox Nightly (115.0a1.20230525234553) / Develoer Edition (114.0b9)

Using Flypy IME (http://flypy.ysepan.com/, under the second folder "____________1.小鹤音形（Win版）v10.9f" > "flypy_Setup_10.9f.exe")

Actual results:

1. Swich to this IME;
2. Press shift to switch to English mode;
3. The address bar loses and gets focus instantly after alphabetic key strokes.

Expected results:

The blue border of the address bar should not blink.

Reproduced the issue with Firefox 118.0a1 (2023-08-07) on Windows 10x64 by using steps from comment 0 (note that the software is located in the third folder now). The address bar closes and reopens when typing and the address bar focus ring appears and disappears.
I have also looked for a regression range and these are the results:

• The issue that the address bar closes and reopens does not seem to be a regression. I can reproduce that with 60.0a1 (2018-02-02)
• The focus that appears and disappears when typing seems to be happening after this pushlog: https://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/pushloghtml?fromchange=7bc2dd06085f53993037b4fc78ee651c5afc7671&tochange=0ea49daf534fcd9a49708717b3864a4ebc73c20d. I don't know which bug introduced the focus ring (maybe bug 1703274).

There is a setting in about:config named browser.urlbar.keepPanelOpenDuringImeComposition that could maybe work better with this IME, try setting to true and please report back if it helps. We cannot automatically detect whether that's good because we don't know what the IME is doing, so it must be manually enabled on a per case basis.
