User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:109.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/113.0

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Start doing some lengthy procedure. For example, copy thousands of messages from one mailbox to another.
  2. Open "Activity Manager" and click "Clear List" button

Mozilla Thunderbird 114.0b3 (64-bit)
Microsoft Windows 10.0.19045.3031

Actual results:

The "Activity Manager" window clears completely, not even displaying the actions currently being performed.

Expected results:

After clicking "Clear List", completed activities are cleared, but current activities that are not yet completed are displayed.

WfJjrdAr, does this still reproduce for you with latest beta?

Beta 137.0b3
Started Thunderbird and immediately opened Activity Manager
It was already displaying the usual connections when you start up, so I clicked on the 'Clear List'.
The list cleared and immediately was populated with..eg: synchronising account bringing folder x up to date.
But then it appears to 'freeze'...downloading 4 of 7 in folder and that part never seemed to finalise, but I left it running and other data popluated the Activity Manager.
Eventually the synchronising 'downloading 4 of 7 in folders etc' disappeared and other expected data populated the window.
For good measure I clicked on 'Clear List' again and left window open and in due course it lists activities that have just occurred.
There is a short delay between actual action and it's report in Activity Manager, but I'm talking about mere seconds.

It works for me.
