this is only applicable when there isn't >1 tab open --only single-page browser
windows. while page is loading, chimera should have app name rather than
"untitled" in titlebar. how about "Navigator"? for IE and Mozilla in the same
case, they use "Internet Explorer" and "Mozilla" (respectively) in their titlebars.

iirc, simon said that having an actual application name in the titlebar (when
the page is loading, before header content appears) might alleviate spoofing.
but, correct me if i misunderstood.

I believe that one reason Mozilla/Netscape adds the application name to every
window is to reduce the chance of confusing, or decieving the user by putting up
a window that looks like some other application. I'm not sure how big this risk is.

I'm closing this bug as the default behaviour on OS X is clearly to only show
the title of a document in the "title" bar when the application is document based.

From the apple AHIG guidelines:
If your application is not document-based, use the name of your application as
the window title. If your application has a short name, use it as the title.

Name a new document window “untitled”; leaving it lowercase makes it more
obvious that the window doesn’t have a name and encourages people to save the
document. If the user chooses New again before saving the first untitled window,
name the second window “untitled 2,” and so on. Add numbers to window titles
only when there is more than one open untitled window. Don’t put a “1” on the
first untitled window, even after the user opens other new windows.

If the user dismisses all untitled windows by saving or closing them, then the
next new document should start over as “untitled,” the next should be “untitled
2,” and so on.

with recent trunk camino builds, "Loading..." now displays in tabs whose pages
are still loading. vrfy w4m.
