Steps to reproduce:
I have 13 e-mail accounts. I go through each inbox and handle each e-mail.
Actual results:
Displaying e-mail control section above the preview pane is very slow at times.
- The subject from the previous e-mail persists for up to 10 seconds at times.
- The buttons also do not display for quite a few seconds (10-15).
Expected results:
Old TB version always had a display that was fast and had subject of the currently displayed e-mail.
Note that I have 253 filters total for all of the e-mail addresses which may impact performance when executing while reading mail,

Steverino, do you still see this when using 115.0b4?
I still do see this, although it seems to be somewhat faster, with 115.0b4.

I don't see a question here (needinfo).
To restate the case.
I have about a dozen email accounts in TB.
I have over 250 filters in place.
The preview pane for the selected e-mail takes some time to populate the area above the body of the message. It doesn't show the buttons (i.e. REPLY, FORWARD, DELETE...) and sometimes does not show the proper associated SUBJECT, but shows the subject of the previous e-mail. If I do nothing, eventually (within about a minute) theproper subject and the buttons do appear. The computer I am using is quite fast/powerful.

https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profiling-thunderbird-performance may help us. If screen shots is enabled when uploading on the profile, for privacy make sure you disable it.
I'm not finding an older report of this, so removing dupeme.

I have 849 total contacts.
I do see the latest release has fixed the bug that does not show the bubble with number of messages when the email address folder is NOT expanded.

I'm pretty sure this is duplicate. The filters may be slowing the processing some but the headers should still display first (in the header box above the body). The problem is that the header pane and the attachment list are not displayed now until after the message body is completely finished displaying. The header display should happen first or, at least, in parallel with the message body display.
Will handle this bug over at bug 1851871.
If there are problems with the message counts in a "bubble" it should be put into a new bug.
