Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:102.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/102.0

Steps to reproduce:

Started Firefox after upgrade to 102.9.0esr. Third-party security product requires me to either block or allow the add-on. I cannot find any information about it, so I choose to block it.

Actual results:

Every day, I get a popup from a third-party security product saying that addons-restricted-domains@mozilla.com.xpi is an unknown software. I was unable to find the add-on in the about:addons so I have been blocking it.

Expected results:

I should be able to find more information about this add-on so I can ask my employer's InfoSec group to add it to their white-list.

Hello,

This add-on is a system add-on and it will not show up in about:addons. The add-on will be listed in about:support under “Firefox Features”.

Rest assured, this add-on is developed by Mozilla and it does not pose a security threat and as such you can allow it in the third-party security software you are running on your machine.

You can find more information here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/addons-restricted-domains .

I will be closing this report as Invalid as there is nothing wrong with the extension.
