Using 'ctrl-T' or the 'open in new tab...' function shifts focus from the
tab/window you were browsing to the newly created tab. This can be a little
distracting, since (it seems to me) one of the purposes of tabbed browsing is to
give a convenient way for the user to open multiple links from one site, or to
allow a link to load in the background while the user continues browsing the
current tab. In either case, it seems like a more convenient behaviour would be
for the focus to remain on the current tab, and not shift to the new one.

At the least, perhaps it's worth a checkbox under Prefs?

Steps to Reproduce:
1. press ctrl-T or rt-click on a link and select 'open in new tab'.

focus shifts to new tab

Expected Results:  
focus should remain on current tab, new tab loads in background.

There is little point in opening a new blank tab (Ctrl-T) that doesn't have focus. 

If you want your context menu for opening links in new tabs to leave focus in
the current tab, set your prefs accordingly -> "load links in the background".
