Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/116.0.0.0 Safari/537.36
Steps to reproduce:
Navigate to https://guest271314.github.io/SSMLParser/, click the button "Start speech synthesis".
Related https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1837789
Actual results:
No speech is synthesized.
Link to a 404 page.
There is no "SpeechSynthesis API" https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/speech-dispatcher-required-speechsynthesis-api. There is a Web Speech API.
Expected results:
Speech synthesis. This works out of the box on Chromium.
Per the related bug report
Package: speech-dispatcher
Version: 0.11.1-1ubuntu2
should work, however it doesn't.
Re-filing this here as recommended in the related bug report.
