Interestingly:
- the source repo was not up-to-date (it has moved to gitlab)
- some local changes were not recorded as patch

Thanks for working on this! Paul's work in bug 1833654 will remove libtremor from the tree shortly, so I don't think we'll want to land this patch in the meantime to avoid rebasing issues, sorry!
