Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1. Set tabbed browsing so middle click opens new tab 2. Click where there is no link and no text. Actual Results: A dialog pops us saying the URL is not valid Expected Results: Nothing
middle-click on empty space opens whatever is in the clipboard (PRIMARY, actually) in the current browser. If what's in the clipboard is not a valid URL, we say so.
