User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; WinNT4.0; en-US; rv:1.2b) Gecko/20021016 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; WinNT4.0; en-US; rv:1.2b) V1.2.1 1) Install V1.2.1, change theme to Modern, select File | Exit. 2) Click on quick-launch, no response after 5 min, no cpu usage in TaskManager. 3) Try launching from short-cut no activity either. 4) Uninstall V1.2.1 and install V1.2b. 5) QuickLaunch no longer works in 1.2b. Shortcut will still launch browser if Q/L is disabled. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1) Install V1.2.1, change theme to Modern, select File | Exit. Actual Results: Browser seems to launch consistently from desktop shortcut Expected Results: QuickLaunch should not be locking up. Both V1.2.1 and 1.2b were TalkBack builds but there was no reaction from it.
using build Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.3a) Gecko/20021210 I am able to change theme- which does close down QuickLaunch (see bug 134039- I have multiple profiles) Once I launch from shortcut or command line, the icon reappears in systray- marking worksforme

1) I run only one profile ([default]) 2) Each time I install I end up deleting an old profile left over from NS4 so that I end up with just the [default] profile 3) The issue isn't that I can't get the Q/L icon back in the systray (it's there), its that Mozilla won't launch when you double click on the systray icon or even right clicking and selecting Navigator. 4) Right now, running V1.2b, launching from a shortcut, I've been looking at the Mozilla splash that has been hanging on my screen for at least 5 min. (450 P3 Xeon with 256 MB RAM, no other apps running). What used to work just fine (V1.2b) no longer works since I installed/unistalled V1.2.1. I'm back to NS4.

David, Do you delete the Mozilla profile directory each time you install? I am not sure why NS4 profile keeps showing. Also will you check: if mozilla process is still running when you quit (task manager should show you) Are you using the installer? checking box for QL during install process?

marking wfm per comment 1 and inactivity. Please reopen if you still experience this issue in recent builds. If so, please address the questions in comment 3, and (if possible) include stepwise instructions that include which file you installed, whether you uninstalled the previous mozilla, whether you used the same or different installation folder, etc.

I have since updated to 1.4 and I am no longer experiencing any issues. Thanks for staying on top of this. - Dave
