Steps to reproduce:

I am downloading videos,movies and webseries from sites.i download zip files.

Actual results:

Sometimes Wifi disconnect or two-three download same time or long time screen on device download stop and in notification shows RETRY DOWNLOAD when i tao on button download stared sometimes but completely download file doesn't extract. For example when i downloading zip file and download stopped. And i tap on retry then download was complete but file doesn't extract.

Expected results:

Improve download manager. I tried Samsung internet and brave browser their download manager are best. Firefox also doesn't showing progress on download session.personaly i like brave download manager.please improve as soon as possible.

OP did not request the ability to extract ZIP files with Firefox. I believe OP said that:

• He/she starts downloading a ZIP archive split into multiple files
• The download of one of the files fails due to connectivity issues
• After retrying, the download apparently finishes successfully
• However, when he/she tries to extract the full archive, whatever app the phone uses to extract ZIP archives isn't able to extract it

This likely happens because the failed download link has expired and now redirects to a dummy file - not the actual missing ZIP part.

@8000vsa Instead of using the "retry" option, you could go to the website you're downloading these files from and create a new download link for the missing part.

You can post your ideas to improve the built-in download manager here: Improve download management in Firefox Android. As a workaround until it becomes better for you, you can also install an external download manager and enable it from your Firefox settings.
