User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; WOW64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/113.0.5666.197 Safari/537.36
Steps to reproduce:
- Enter my credentials (as usual, email AND password)
- a Yandex ID window pops up
- Enter login (Yandex ID) info there, all correct
- A 400 error pops up - redirect_uri does not match the Callback URL defined for the client
Actual results:
A 400 error pops up - redirect_uri does not match the Callback URL defined for the client, account credentials not saved, couldn't enter into the mailbox. NOTE: If the sequence is attempted more than once, yandex id remembers the login credentials and just throws the 400 error.
Expected results:
(In the previous thunderbird release) After the same process (entering Yandex ID credentials) login should have been confirmed.

This is not related to the Thunderbird Flatpak specifically, but rather, an issue with Thunderbird not having an OAuth2 provider for Yandex (which Yandex requires). Unfortunately, from my own cursory testing, there doesn't appear to be a way around this at the moment.
Edit: I found a way to get around using OAuth2. See comment 2.

After a little bit of digging, you can get around using OAuth2 when adding your Yandex account:
- Open your Yandex email account in a browser
- Go to All settings > Email clients
- Check "From the imap.yandex.com server via IMAP" under "Use a mail client to retrieve your Yandex mail"
- Generate a new app password for Thunderbird
- Set up your account in Thunderbird as usual using the newly generated app password

Thanks, everything works now! Your comment somewhat worked, although for me you missed one thing (although i could have read it wrong, i will clarify about all of my steps anyway). So here's what i did exactly:
- In the web mail client: All Settings (gear icon on top right) > Email Clients > Check "From the imap.yandex.com server via IMAP"
- Go to this Yandex ID page and make a new password for mail (IMAP, pop3)
- Copy that password and save it somewhere
- Go into thunderbird, enter credentials (name, email) with THAT PASSWORD that was generated
- Press the "manual setup" button (i think that is what it's called) and for both of those windows set the method of authentication as regular password
- Login, and voila!
