Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:109.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/115.0

Steps to reproduce:

Set up a Caldav connection for Calendar- works fine while certificate is valid

SSL certificate for that Caldav resource expires (and for various reasons I can't renew it)

Allow Calendar to sync (after cert expiry)

Actual results:

'Add Security Exception' dialog appears, although a Stored Security Exception already exists in Thunderbird config for that URL.

'Add security exception' results in same dialog being displayed ad infinitum
'cancel' results in 'connection error' or changes to the Calendar not being saved (for example, dismiss a notification for an event or add/edit an event)

Expected results:

If a stored Security Exception exists, then it should be possible to connect to the Caldav resource normally.

Note that this error also occurs with the Carddav component of Address Book

OS: Unspecified → Linux
Hardware: Unspecified → x86_64

Similar error in Carddav component of Address Book: ([https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1846404])

I want to report the same problem.
