User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.3a) Gecko/20021207 Phoenix/0.5 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.3a) Gecko/20021207 Phoenix/0.5 I think the Extensions should be setup in a folder outside the PHOENIX folder. Each time a nightly build is install, everything about the extensions disappear. There should be a place where a folder name could be setup, so Phoenix will know which extensions are available in the hard disk. Takes a considerable amount of time if somebody has 5 or more extensions, and after installing each one, Phoenix must be shut-down and call it again. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3. Expected Results: an external folder with the installed extensions. Example: phoenix would be in : C:\APPS\PHOENIX the extensions would be: C:\APPS\PHOENIX-EXTENSIONS

Possibly related to bug 170006 or bug 172891?

Isn't this up to the extension author? XPI should be able to install anywhere it wants.

Summary: extensions should install to directory other than Phoenix install dir
I'm more in favor of them going into the profile directory, like skins are able to.
