We have an old feature that allowed us to test some different layouts, we called these remote layouts. We used hard coded layouts for most users and while not running experiments.
We no longer use this remote layout feature, it was integrated with the old experimenter, and also the service we used for this is no longer maintained.
For these reasons I think we should remove the code the supported remote layouts.
