User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:109.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/116.0
Steps to reproduce:
- i opened firefox on my college wifi that contains a captive portal
- i tried to connect to the captive portal
i can reliably reproduce this defect with my computer and with my college wifi
Actual results:
on XMonad when connecting to the captive portal it shows a secure connection couldn't be established
Expected results:
it should connect to the captive portal normally

haven't tested, will install chromium and report later today . i don't know if it was clear but it works when using KDE plasma and not XMonad i login in my college's wifi by using dm-tool to switch to the greeter and then opening firefox on KDE Plasma.

Good to know.
Can you reproduce the issue with about:logging enabled? Also add ,CaptivePortalService to the new log modules string before starting.
You can log with either the profiler or logging to file, just send the profile capture/logs to necko@mozilla.com.
