Huge increase from prev week 2 to last week 897,684

seems to be connected to a similar increase in mdn_yari.page_v1 #client_info/first_run_date (Bug 1810575)

Apparently they did, as verified in person.
So moving this over to Bruno and Florian for a followup: For all we know this only affects a single ping for users that visited before, so over time this will just go away.
Are we fine with that or do we need to do anything about it?

I talked with Alessio about this. I think it is ok to just accept that we will see these errors for a period of time and they will eventually go away. It will only happen on first run for each user, so as more people use the newer version the error count should begin to decrease.

:brosa can you clarify when are pings causing these errors sent? On a first run with v2 if user was on v1 before?
Or on all first runs (including after user clears their cookies)?

Yes. This will only happen for projects that have migrated from v1 to v2. This will also only happen on first run on v2, or all first runs after a user clears their LocalStorage data.
