User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:109.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/116.0

Steps to reproduce:

I let Firefox run without closing tabs and windows I was using for at least 5 days. There were usually at least 2 windows, and more than 10 tabs.
It made the system lag, so I closed Firefox, and then it went back to normal.

Actual results:

Firefox made the system slow, laggy, or unresponsive in certain apps.

Expected results:

It should behave like normal and stop using all the RAM even on extended uses.

about:support dump.

I tried to make an about:memory dump, but firefox crashed...

I think this is something known for a long time and we don't have a great way to fix this.

Does the profiler work? A profile of what Firefox is doing would be helpful

With no answer from the reporter, we don’t have enough data to reproduce and/or fix this issue. Please reopen or file a new bug with more information if you see it again.
