Preconditions

• Be signed in on Sync with a valid account.

Steps to reproduce

1. Launch Firefox.
2. Click on the User button from the toolbar.
3. Click on ‘Sync Now’.
4. Observe the behavior.

Expected result

• The string gets updated from ‘Sync Now’ to ‘Syncing’ and it displays the loading animation.

Actual result

• The string gets updated from ‘Sync Now’ to ‘Syncing’ and it does not display the loading animation.

Regression range

• Will look for one ASAP.

:oardelean, if you think that's a regression, could you try to find a regression range using for example mozregression?

I can't reproduce this on Nightly on macOS 13. You mention it also happens on Beta, so I doubt this was a recent regression and I also doubt it is easily reproducible as most of the Sync engineers use a Mac. In other words, I suspect the issue will be related to the testing environment rather than a change to Firefox. Can you reproduce it on a different Mac from the one you tried?

Re-tested on 2 different machines( macOS 12 and 13 respectively) and I could not reproduce. Please let me know if there’s any more information I can provide, thank you.
