Steps to reproduce:
- Open Thunderbird
Actual results:
- Thunderbird opened successfully
- But the height of the panes (see attachment) appear strange: Pane 1 is too high and consumes too much space (more than needed), Pange 2 appears too narrow. For the user, this is irritating.
Expected results:
From a usability point of view, the panes should be arranged with a more user friendly sizing, just like it is in other applications.
Pane 1 is the unified toolbar, you should customize it and add more buttons. Pane 2 is the menu bar which is now below the unified toolbar (and there are many requests about moving it up, for example bug 1851332).

Pane 1 would have global search field, if you had global search enabled.
