Steps to reproduce:

I've set deleted messages to move to archive folder. Unified folder list is showing multiple copies of the year folder. Looking at subscribe dialog shows only one folder for the year.

This is for 118b2, MacOS Ventura. Quit and restart and I get 6 copies. They all show the same messages in the folder, so it's just 6 things all pointing to the same actual folder. This is IMAP on bluehost.com.

Seems to apply to any subfolder of the "Archives" folder. I have messages set to move to Archives on delete (not divided by year). I deleted a (sub)folder from elsewhere in my account and it moved it to the "Archives" folder. After the delete it showed 2 copies of it. On restart it showed the same 6 copies as happened before.

Chris are you still seeing this?

No I am not seeing this anymore. I am using single archive folder and don't get year folders anymore. I tried turning on folder by year and archiving some msgs and it didn't seem to create the year folder, but at least i'm not seeing duplicates.
