Steps to reproduce:

-Receive an email thread with attachments from someone.
-Attempt to open the email attachments, which often takes up to 3 minutes to load.
-Try opening the attachments in a new tab or window, but the issue persists.

  • This problem occurs for both me and my colleagues after switching to Thunderbird Supernova 115.

Actual results:

The email conversation eventually opens, but it takes an exceptionally long time to do so, often causing Thunderbird to become unresponsive.

Expected results:

It should have opened quickly, as it did before. The current situation is extremely impractical and not user-friendly.

The current key bug for this type of performance issue is bug 1851871 which should be fixed next week in 115.3.0.
