Steps to reproduce:

Description: Websites reload every time I leave Firefox for a moment and return to it. I don't close Firefox and just switch between different apps. While the app is running already and there are no battery restrictions, it just continues to function this way. I am unable to continue from where I leave it off just because of the frequent reloading. There are no add-ons enabled.

Peformed on Android 13.
Couldn't peform this on any other version of the Android.

  1. Firstly, I opened two different tabs in Firefox. Then, I opened two different websites in those tabs respectively.
  2. I switched between different apps and then returned to Firefox.
  3. Repeated the steps in a different web browser.

Actual results:

  1. Both websites were reloading frequently in both the tabs.
  2. This reloading happened even without switching between apps. Just exiting the app for a moment could reload it.
  3. The frequent reloading didn't happen in that other web browser.

Expected results:

The websites shouldn't have reloaded this frequently at a snap and I should've able to continue where I left off in those websites.

Moving this to Fenix > General component to allow our engineers to examine it more closely. If this is not the right component, please move it to a more appropriate one. Thanks!

Thanks for filling, this is indeed something that is blocked by bug 1752594. Since we have bug 1807364 on file already that is similar in function. I'm going to close this as a duplicate, but please look out for it when we are able get a fix in; you can help us validate the fix then.
