Steps to reproduce:
I've been upgrading Thunderbird portable intermittently since 2016.
Current version: 102.11.0 (64-bit)
It asks me to upgrade to 102.15.1. I do that. Restart, all looks fine.
Then it wants me to upgrade to 115.2.2. So I do that too. Restart and...
Note: Because this is a portable edition I've been able to do this twice now (I kept a copy of the TB directory before doing the upgrade). It fails the exact same way both times, so this is repeatable.
Actual results:
I get some weird new interface. Ok, fine I guess your UI people have to do something to justify their salaries.
Problem is, now my "Inbox" only has two accounts showing, and the other special folders are also missing accounts. There should be six accounts. Thunderbird 115 is showing me:
Inbox:
gmx1
yahoo
Sent:
mydomain1
gmx1
yahoo
junk
gmx1
specialist-provider
gmx2
trash
mydomain1
gmx1
yahoo
Below those special folders, there's a list of all my folders. This is correct and lists all account's subfolders. I can also see all six accounts on the Account Settings too.
Similarly, if I use "All accounts", I see all the accounts and all folders, but I want all my inboxes in the same place given they're the ones I look at.
Expected results:
I should be able to see my account inboxes/sent boxes etc for the unified folders.

Please post your results next week after using 115.3.0
I can confirm this I tried to upgrade to the Thunderbird 115 and I lost half of my Unified folders, maybe it was not half but it was very close to half, I don't remember exactly.
I had to downgrade back to the 102 version.

No change in 115.3.1.
Had anyone actually done any work to fix this for this specific version, or was it just "maybe we've accidentally fixed it" wasting my time?

Yes there have been work and fixes.
If you don't want to be here we can leave the bug closed?

Ah right, thanks. I've had too much experience with people just saying "have you tried the latest version" even when it doesn't touch the given component. Sorry.
You're welcome to either re-open, or use the other bug I created.
