Steps to reproduce:

Shortly after I installed the latest Thunderbird update, I went to my Thunderbird Drafts folder, where I have several draft messages which I regularly rewrite. I performed the usual highlight-and-open operation. I clicked and highlighted the first draft in the group I needed to edit, and then moved the cursor down and clicked ShiftClick in order to highlight the additional five messages in the Draft folder that I needed to open and edit. Then I hit Enter to open all six messages at once at the same time.

Actual results:

None of the messages opened!!! Instead, I discovered that I had to click highlight and then hit enter to open each Draft message ONE AT A TIME!! The Open Multiple Draft Messages function has been DISABLED in the latest Thunderbird update!!

Expected results:

After clicking, shift-clicking and highlighting all six messages, when I then clicked Enter, ALL six messages should have opened. Instead, NO messages opened. It would appear that the multiple Draft message open function has accidentally been DISABLED in the latest update!!

There is a recent bug report that says hitting Enter on 19 or more selections fails.
Does this happen in troubleshoot mode (from the help menu)?
Does the same behavior occur on non-draft messages?
What is the minimum number of selected messages that fails?

Yes, it does happen in troubleshoot mode.
No, it does not happen on non-draft messages! Interesting discovery, and I am surprised!
The minimum number that fails is two messages. If I select any more than one message in the draft folder and then try to open them by hitting Enter, the operation always fails.

I can confirm this does not work anymore in version 115, while it did in version 102. The fix can be quite simple if there are not any side-effects I am not aware of.

I was disappointed and surprised to see that this bug was not listed and has NOT been corrected in the release list from today, listed at https://www.thunderbird.net/en-US/thunderbird/115.3.0/releasenotes/ . I implemented the update, just on the off-chance that perhaps it had merely been inadvertently omitted from the list of fixes but no such luck.

How soon can I expect to see this bug addressed in a Thunderbird update, please? Thanks.

This isn't a high priority stability issue affecting many users. So a guess would be two weeks. Please limit your postings to information which helps to fix the bug.

115.4.0. Got it!

Just now I went to the Help menu and asked the app to check for updates (I have 115.3.2). It came back with the message that the app was up-to-date, so I'm guessing that 115.4.0 is not being rolled out yet. Is that correct?
