User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:109.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/117.0
Steps to reproduce:
With my mouse pointing to an email, I use Alt-Tab to switch to a different application on my desktop. The (annoying) Subject is displayed in white letters on a black rectangle, potentially covering up information in the new application. And even when I switch to a different logical desktop (or workspace), the Subject black box is displayed. This box is too persistent and annoying.
Actual results:
The white-on-black rectangle hangs around until I switch back to Thunderbird and make it disappear.
Expected results:
The white-on-black rectangle is mostly (or totally IMO) useless. It gets in the way and doesn't provide any useful information. Get rid of it.

Thanks for reporting your issue. Did this also happen in version 102?
We have examples of this on prior versions.

Sorry, I don't know what my prior version was. It was just whatever OpenSUSE Tumbleweed had (frequent rolling updates).
There was a similar issue in the prior version but it was not as persistent as this problem is.
I could hover the mouse over the popup and it would go away (if I recall correctly; anyway, there was some easy method
to make it go away).
