User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Android 13; Mobile; rv:109.0) Gecko/117.0 Firefox/117.0
Steps to reproduce:
- Go to a url
- Click on the url field, see how it selects all the text by default
- Search for something
- Click on the url field and see how it jumps straight into editing mode
Expected results:
The behavior of this field should not change depending on the content in it. It causes a bad user experience if you tap on a search field and start typing a url, since you expect it to overwrite the field.
Since about:config isn't available and the settings option to show the real url isn't available on android, there's no way to fix this.

I am able to reproduce this issue on all builds.
I've verified the behavior on Chrome, and it turns out there, tapping on the URL bar always dismisses the previous text/URL and lets the user type the new characters.

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Fenix::Search' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please correct in case you think the bot is wrong.
