When building sample-browser right after cloning the monorepo, the build fails because of a Nimbus zip error.

The error doesn't happen any more starting from the second build attempt.

I attached the failure outputs.

Oops, didn't meant to close this (yet). Waiting for validation from team to see if it's actually working.

Per Julien:

i think i was still seeing this a week or two ago, so afaik it's still valid
and padenot just hit it, on central

He also confirmed that the workaround (building it a second time) still works; so we'll work on this ASAP, but not treat it as a hard blocker for Bug 1822248.

I've had two more engineers ping me when this happens because they ran into this error and didn't know what to do next.

Can we increase the severity here?

Thanks, Jonathan. I'll set it to P2.

For transparency: we're still working through the "cleanup" backlog in this metabug, and this isn't the only thing causing continued developer pain, but it sounds like it's one of the more frequent transgressors.

I have a refactor of the Nimbus Gradle Plugin in progress that I think should fix the lifecycle issues that caused this bug! Let's dupe this over to bug 1854254.
