   Tooltips normally appear in yellow background with a nice black line around
the box. Sometimes, this line doesn't show ot shows partially (see attached
screenshot).

   I cannot reproduce this bug, but it happens eventually (say once per month)
with all the builds I've tested, all under Linux Mandrake 9 XFree86-4.2.1 and
NVidia drivers. I use tabs, mouse wheel, and Classic theme with no extra plugins.

   If I change to other window and return to Mozilla, it continues showing that
way. If I reload the page or after doing other things, then it works ok.


   This also affects to bookmarks tooltips in a strange way: now I have 6 open
tabs; I start moving the mouse from right to left (making the tooltips appear
one by one) and all expect 2nd and 3rd show the line. I try another time, but
now from left to right, and now it's 1st, 3rd and 5th the.ones that don't have
the black line..

Daniel, ezh, wolruf: do you still see this with a current linux build?
I know the bug report is not very old, but I cannot see it at all with
SuSE8.1/KDE...

   Yes, I have just reproduced it on Linux 2003022605 in no more than 15
seconds... :-) I update from nightlies every 2/3 days, and I am seeing it every day.

   The lineless tooltips which are easy to see are the ones from the bookmarks
bar and every tab's tooltip. Now I have Classic theme, with about 13 tabs open;
only switching among them makes a certain bookmark tooltip lose its line.

  In fact, I can always reproduce it if I check every bookmark and every tab:
some of them will be broken...

Mozilla 1.3 candidate also shows this problem.... but don't worry, I seem to be
the only person who sees it, and I have get used to it.

I know bugs usually don't vanish, but who knows... and I have two persons here
who never saw this... ok, it might be a driver specific problem. But that's why
I ask you again and don't just close this bug.

No, I haven't seen this anymore. Some changes have been made to the tooltips,
like background color and others, and now work well.
Closing bug and resolving as WFM, reopen if someone notices this behaviour again.
