1857209 - deleting a message scrolls the message list

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:109.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/118.0

Steps to reproduce:

• Inbox folder in the view: left tree view of folders, top right message summary, down right message content
• select a mail
• delete this mail -> the focus of the top right view moves away out of the view
• delete the next message as well -> the focus moves back into the viewed area (but not every time)

Actual results:

• delete a shown mail -> the focus of the top right view/subwindow moves away out of the view/subwindow
• delete the next message as well -> the focus moves back into the viewed area (but not every time)
• See attached picture with 2 screenshots inside, where moves the blue line marking the shown message? The correct message is shown down right.

Expected results:

The focused/marked (blue line) mail should be still shown in the top right view/subwindow.

Thanks for the bug report.

Is your issue better or worse after recent version 115.4.3?
And is mailnews.scroll_to_new_message set to false or true? It will be the default value of true unless you changed it.
