The radar animation loads as it should, however, after leaving the page and
closing Mozilla, the system locks up. Upon reboot, preferences return to
default, mail settings are lost, and the personal toolbar disappears. These
would be lost had I not backed up.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Go to the url (http://weather.noaa.gov/radar/loop/DS.p19r0/si.kclx.shtml)
2. Let the animation load completely and let it loop a couple of times.
3. Hit the back button (may not be necessary)
4. Close Mozilla.
5. The system should now be hung.
Actual Results:
The system is in complete lockup. A reboot is required. After the reboot and
starting Mozilla, the homepage defaults to mozilla.org/start, the personal
toolbar is gone, and the mail wizard returns when opening the mozilla mail client.
Expected Results:
The browser should be able to function normally after viewing this animation.
There is no crash/talkback/etc. The system just hangs.

your system looks or mozilla ?
mozilla can't freeze win2k...
The system locks (it happens after I close Mozilla). Pressing alt-ctrl-del does
nothing so the reset button must be pressed.

This sounds more like a problem with your system.
Mozilla or another application can't freeze win2k/nt/XP if it don't install
additional drivers and mozilla doesn't install additional drivers.
and WFM with win2k and mozila build 20021216..

Reporter, are you still experiencing this problem on a recent build of Mozilla?
No I'm not. I believe it was a java installation error with Win2k (like comment
#3 suggested), not Mozilla related.
