Mozilla VPN doesn't recognize Android system navigate-back arrow button or gesture (on in-app UI where Mozilla VPN shows its own back button, where it feels like it should work)

STR:
- Install Mozilla VPN.
- Tap the "Sign Up" or "Already a Subscriber" buttons.
- Dismiss the keyboard (if it pops up), and then use the Android "navigate back" gesture (swipe in from left side of screen), or use the system back button (at bottom left corner of screen), depending on which you've chosen in the Android settings "system navigation" section.
ACTUAL RESULTS:
No effect. The back gesture / button-press is ignored.
EXPECTED RESULTS:
I should navigate back, just as if I tapped the "Back arrow" button that Mozilla VPN shows at the top left of the screen.
I'm using a Pixel 6a with Android 13, with Mozilla VPN version 2.17.0
Note: this affects these pages as well as various Settings pages (I think any page where Mozilla VPN shows a back button at the top-left, I'd intuitively expect the gesture or system-back-button to also work, but it doesn't).

(In reply to Daniel Holbert [:dholbert] from comment #0)
- Do the Android "navigate back" gesture (swipe in from left side of screen), or use the system back button (at bottom left edge of screen), depending on which you've chosen in the Android settings "system navigation" section.
(Side note, I ran into a different bug when playing with the "system navigation" option and filed bug 1857363 on it.)

Just to be extra-clear, here's a screenshot showing the system back-button (in the system "3-button-navigation" configuration) that has no effect on these screens. If you don't see this button on your phone, it's probably because you have gesture navigation on, and you instead want to do the navigate-back gesture.
(The back-button at the top-left of the screen in this screenshot works just fine.)
Thanks Daniel. Yes, this is a known issue that we can hopefully address in Q4 as we deal with a bunch of accessibility problems:
