User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:109.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/118.0

Steps to reproduce:

I updated to Supernova (v115.3.1) with my folder pane set to Unified.

Actual results:

A “Templates” folder appeared that was not there previously. It is empty, with no emails and no accounts listed beneath it. I don’t use it and don’t want it there.

It does not appear under any account in the “Subscribe” window, so I can’t unsubscribe from it (or, the issue is irrelevant to subscriptions).

Compacting my accounts does not affect it, and it cannot be compacted directly.

Deleting its folders and .MSF files in “[PROFILE]\mail\smart mailboxes” and “[PROFILE]\ImapMail” does nothing; some of these files regenerate when Tbird is relaunched, and the folder is still there in the folder pane.

In short, I cannot remove it from view.

Expected results:

I should be able to remove it from view one way or another.

Summary: Cannot remove empty “Templates” folder from Unified folder pane → Cannot remove empty “Templates” folder from Unified folder pane - I have no Templates folders

The templates folder for an account doesn't exist until a message is saved as a template, and is therefore a construct created by Thunderbird.

There is also another issue based on testing version 102 - in 102 you can uncheck the templates folder in the subscribe dialog. But it handled it poorly - Templates still appears under the account in All Folders, but it is gone from Unified Folders. Rather strange.

In my case (in v115), the reverse is true – the Templates folder only appears in Unified Folders mode, but is nowhere to be found in All Folders mode.
