Steps to reproduce:
When I do a search and click on one of the found email messages I get a list of the messages in that thread. First I had to turn on showing the structure of the thread:
View -> Sort by -> Threaded
Because the TB update had changed my settings. (Not very smart!)
In all earlier versions of TB, when I select a message on the list, the content of that message is shown below the list. But not now. I regard that as a bug.

I don't think any of that changed. Hit F8 to show the message pane and it should be showing again?
Yes - you are right! Thank you.
But it's quite annoying that I have to choose
View -> Sort by -> Threaded
from the pull down menus, every time I open a thread from the search results! No earlier TB version did that.
And now I can see another bug: When I click on a message in the list of search results, the thread open - but I have to guess which of those messages I chose on the search results list...
