User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:109.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/118.0
Steps to reproduce:
Since auto-upgrade to Thunderbird 115, have been unable to receive new email from Yahoo email (the email service used by ISP, Frontier.com), except once.
Confirmed all POP email settings.
Incoming server had used "normal password" authentification in the past. With this setting, I would eventually get error msg "unable to login to pop3.frontier.com."
Emails are accessible on Frontier.com webmail in browser, but not on Thunderbird.
Frontier tech support said incoming server authentification should be OAuth2 (though prior "normal password" might be acceptable). With OAuth2 setting, no longer receive login error message, above. But no emails are downloaded.
Actual results:
Unable to download new emails to Thunderbird since upgrade, except on one occasion (when logged in online to Frontier website and chatting live with Frontier support).
Expected results:
Emails should download to Thunderbird.

Yahoo email hasn't allowed normal password login since late 2020 (see bug 1670892).
For support, please refer to https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/new/thunderbird. Check the normal culprits, Antivirus/Firewall and network connection. Also try Help | Troublshoot mode.

Change in Thunderbird incoming server authorization setting to OAuth2 already noted, but did not fix the inability to obtain new emails. Went thru add'l troubleshooting steps. Will prepare new bug report with details.
